Over the years we've spent a lot of time in Garmisch- Partenkirchen a beautiful village along the German/Austrian border in Bavaria. Here is a collection of photos from our many visits. We've seen a lot of Western Europe, but this place is still our favorite. There are times when it feels like you are in the Idaho Sawtooths and for just a moment I feel a little closer to home.
Don and I took a drive one Sunday afternoon in early April to see Burg Trifels. I'd hear that Richard the Lionheart was held captive here on his journey back from the Crusades. I pictured a typical castle ruin, we were suprised to find this large castle perched on a steep rock cliff.
This album includes photos from our trip to Brussels, Brugge and Waterloo Belgium as well as Luxembourg City, Luxembourg to celebrate Don's 30th birthday. We had a fabulous time and I suprised myself at some of the photos I took. I tried out some of the features on our digital camera.
